Kalash Of Abundance
(Vase)
The Kalash taps into deep spiritual symbolism. Traditionally seen as a sacred vessel, it is often filled with water, leaves, or grains—symbolizing life, prosperity, and creation. However, this Kalash goes beyond the physical act of holding or containing—celebrating abundance not as a material property but as a state of being limitless. This piece reflects the idea that true abundance transcends material boundaries. It represents a state of "being limitless," where fulfillment stems not from possessions but from an expansive mindset, a sense of inner completeness, and a connection with the infinite nature of existence. The design embodies a duality—a physical form that suggests containment, yet alludes to an uncontainable essence, evoking the limitless potential that resides in all of us.
It is made out of precisely cut steel sheets, shaped by hand and riveted. The patterns of gold and black are not random. They relate in a binary code to the value of pi along the vertical and a resounding statement along the horizontal...
In the cosmic vastness i seek nothing yet find abundance!
Nandi
(The sitting Bull)
A symbol of patience and virtue, Nandi adorns temples
and homes as an object of divinity.
Always as a traditional sculpture non the less. Here , the artist brings his contemporary style and creates a Nandi made of facets , giving it a ‘diamond cut’ edge.
The geometry, although defined by edges brings a soft
element to the sculpture.
Squirrel
The legend of ‘Ramayan’ (story of Rama) ,
is a timeless story passed down from
thousands of years.
It celebrates the victory of good over
evil.
Legend has it that when the strong and mighty were moving mountains to bridge the island of Srilanka, this creature took it upon itself to be of some use.
A squirrel that could have easily assumed that it was too insignificant to be of any assistance, undeterred wanted to do its bit.
So the story goes that the furry rodent used its tail and back to collect sand from the shore, and dust it off on the bridge that was being built. Performing this cycle with feverish repetitions until it could not move a muscle any more.
Seeing this dedication Lord Ram was so touched that he blessed the squirrel and lovingly caressed its back. Leaving a streak along its hunch, that’s evident to this date.
Efflorescence
Winning the commission to create a huge wall sculpture for the T2 at Bengaluru
international airport.
While celebrating the legacy of the city, here the artist’s vision was to show flowers and yet stay away from the
usual floral forms.
He did this by abstracting the mathematical order and principle of blooming flower. Treating the form as a mere parametric growth, the idea is communicated in a stark
industrial method.
Guinness World Record
‘Photograph sculpture’ - for Accenture
I was commissioned by the company Accenture to make a sculpture using their employee's portrait pictures.
They already had a virtually limitless number of portrait pictures submitted by the participating employees from across the world for thee purpose of a completion held
the previous year.
However, the company wanted to put these pictures to good use again. I came up with the idea that a sculpture could be made. The Accenture top brass decided to apply
for a Guiness Word Record (GWR).
As commissioned artist I was given the task of figuring out a way to make these 37.000 pictures of 250g/m2 paper take the load of itself as the structure grew.
